About Nsamizi TISD-UNHCR Project:
Nsamizi is an Implementing Partner (IP) for UNHCR that positively contributes towards improving sustainable living standards of refugees and other persons of Concern, through; Provision of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Livelihoods and Environment & Energy services in refugee and hosting populations. With funding from UNHCR, Nsamizi Training Institute of Social Development, is to carryout recruitment of staff to work on its UNHCR funded project in Kyangwali refugee settlement. Nsamizi is looking for a mature, qualified and experienced person for the following position:

Job
Summary: The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant Officer is responsible for creating communications content on behalf Nsamizi She writes and distributes content to promote Nsamizi brand, work and impact

She responds to reputational risks, facilitates internal engagement, builds communications capacity of programme staff, and supports documentation for advocacy work and projects

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Identify content ideas and storytelling opportunities that have potential to
• make issues in the operation
• Respond to ad-hoc urgent or short-turnaround content requests from donor International Support offices
• Package content in a way that fulfils briefs and needs from requestors. Ensure all content is uploaded on the website enabling others to easily find and use it.
• In consultation with the line supervisor, address reputation risk issues, implement recovery plans as per Nsamizi brand guidelines
• Generate press releases, editorial features, coordinate press coverage of key events
• Produce and upload programme impact stories on the website. Participate in the development of social media content and engagement of online communities
• Participate in the production of internal communications products. Work with People and Culture teams to orient staff on Communications Standard Operating Procedures

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Experience with personal computing email and general office productivity software (eg Microsoft Office Suite) required English anting experience with a news agency, marketing organization, NGO or International organisation
• Technical experience with video and still photography preferred
• High level of cross-cultural interpersonal skill, personal maturity, and proven ability to influence multiple stakeholders
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities. Must be suitable for significant in country field travel
• Bachelor's Degree with 2-3 years’ work experience e with preference in Communications, Journalism, Community Development, or related field of study
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, general office productivity software (eg Microsoft Office Suite) other programs for uploading and downloading information. Knowledge of design and desktop publishing software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Illustrator offers an additional advantage Experience with still photography, videography, and story anting style of communication
