Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) is a faith-based private, not-for-profit University owned by the Episcopal Conference of Catholic Bishops of Uganda. it is set to host the World Bank Center of Excellence in Agro-ecology and Livelihood Systems (ACALISE).

The Center is looking for self motivated, dynamic and ethically upright people to fill a number of positions based at its main office at the Faculty of Agriculture, Nkozi.

M&E Consultant/Consultancy firm(1 Position)

Key responsibilities and duties

• Develops the overall framework of the Monitoring and Evaluation activities of the Centre
  
• Clarifies the responsibilities and monitors the work plan and the detailed budget for the monitoring and evaluation activities
  
• The officer guides and coordinate the review of programme log-frames including: o Providing technical advice for thelrvlsion of performance indicators; o Ensuring that realistic intermediate and end-of-programme targets are defined; o Conducting a baseline study on monitoring and evaluation in the ACALISE programme, and; o Identifying sources of data, collection methods and resources needed and related cost.
  
• Contributes to the development of the implementation Plan(lP), ensuring alignment with IP strategy, agreement on programme indicators and inclusion of monitoring and evaluation activities in the work plan
  
• Review and provide feedback to programmes on the quality of methodologies established to collect monitoring data, and document the
  
• protocols that are in place for the collection and aggregation of the data
  
• He will establish an effective system for assessing the validity of monitoring and evaluation data through aview of activitiesl installations, completed monitoring forms/ databases, and a review of aggregate level statistics reported

Qualifications and Experience

• An advanced qualification in Business Administration and Managementl Project Planning and Management with a Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation is essential. ‘
  
• Three year experience in a busy M&E firm is essential, particularly in an Agricultural-related field.
  
• M&E Firms should be properly registered in Uganda and show evidence of Tax clearance, and;
  
• Must be members of the Uganda Monitoring and Evaluation Association
