We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Maintenance Officer/Driver to join our team and contribute to this success.

Location: Head Office, Kampala

Job purpose:

The incumbent is required to perform maintenance related tasks and timeously alert management where professional competence is required. The job holder will support the profitability of the company by ensuring that the buildings are effectively maintained according to health and safety regulations and preventing unnecessary costs long-term. Safely transporting company staff as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner.

Must be able to drive a manual operated vehicle and familiar with Uganda and its regional surroundings.

Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance 60%
• Conduct inspections of the facilities. Identify any defects and damages and report such to the Head Office Manager
• Perform maintenance services (handyman).

Driving 40%
• Drive company vehicles to pick up or drop employees.
• Deliver important documents to required destinations.
• Ensure that all deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient.
• Chart out the best route possible in order to save time.
• Keep vehicle clean and maintained at all times.
• Perform preventative and regular maintenance on vehicle.
• Advise Management of services that are due to company vehicles.
• Advise the Management on any damages that occur to company vehicles.
• Work with support team to provide exceptional customer services and address customer concerns.
• Maintain driving log, prepare vehicle performance forms and complete daily paperwork
• Any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the immediate line manager.

Qualifications
• Minimum O- Level Certificate or A- Level Certificate is an added advantage.
• 2 years+ experience in a commercial driving environment
• 1-2 years maintenance experience
• Valid Driver’s License and be legally permitted to drive 10-14 passengers.
