More details on https://www.umeme.co.ug/ Umeme seeks to recruit an innovative professional to fill the position of Manager Organization Effectiveness reporting to the Head of Human Resources. He/she will be responsible for partnering with the Senior Management Team and Human Resources Management colleagues to strategically determine Organization Effectiveness priorities that drive the highest business value for Umeme as well as design and execute practical and innovative strategies and solutions in the areas of organizational transformation and realignment, organizational design, workforce planning, change management, cultural alignment and engagement.. .
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Partner with HOD’s to
• perform high level Job evaluations and grading studies to ensure that organization structures meet Umeme‘s strategic business needs through defining roles, responsibilities, accountabilities and performance management;
• Provide strategic direction, clear expectations, value added expertise, project oversight, coaching, counselling and career development across the organization;
• Contribute to the definition of organizational needs and help design target organization structures through constant review of span and layers and ensure layers are optimized and succession plans are designed for critical roles; Perform workforce planning studies within FTE budget definition process;
• Utilize workforce analytics to drive change, enhance employee engagement and to inform HR decisions and policy making across the organization;
• Partner with business units to drive process improvements; identify root causes to issues and recommend concrete solutions that increase organization capability;
• Monitor structural and cost metrics periodically for OE metrics with respect to FTE, cost and KPI dimensions;
• Develop and maintain institutional succession pool and fit for future business models;
• implement and manage coaching and mentoring programs for Executives to address leadership capabilities within the company;
• Review company wide emerging capabilities gaps and devise means to address medium to long-term skill requirements.
• ln collaboration with HOD's and business leaders drive people engagement initiatives; and
• Own and continually review country D&i strategy and roadmap, providing tools and consulting with senior leadership teams and D&I leads across the institution and functions to support implementation and delivery.
Person Specifications
• Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, industrial or Organizational psychology, Leadership and Organization Development, or Business-related field;
• Post graduate qualification in a Human Capital discipline and membership to a recognized and accredited HR body;
• At least 5 years of experience in organizational development or effectiveness consultation. including at least 3 years of experience leading a team. Demonstrated ability to work at senior levels with impact;
• Demonstrable experience in Leadership assessment/development and Organizational Development, Organization Diagnosis, Organizational design, Change management, strategic planning, diversity, engagement and workforce insights;
• Demonstrable experience in conducting people analytics for decision making;
• The ability to apply the principles of problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve a problem in the best interest of all stakeholders;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with others; and
• Unquestionable record of professionalism and integrity.
