Role Overview
Kipekee Solutions Ltd, a company specializing in blending herbal teas under the Pumzi Teas brand, is looking for a Market and Sales Lead to join the team. This is a full-time position focused on developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, analyzing market trends, managing customer relationships, and promoting Pumzi tea products effectively.
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategy Development and Execution
• Develop annual and multi-year brand growth strategies and business plans for the Ugandan market.
• Deliver a rolling 12-month sales and marketing calendar aligned with brand objectives.
• Collaborate with management on brand architecture, positioning, and growth strategies.
Market Analysis and Innovation
• Identify new growth areas using consumer research, analytics, and collaboration with functional experts.
• Partner with suppliers, farmers, and stakeholders to develop improved products, packaging, and programs.
• Analyze business profit and loss, optimizing the value chain in collaboration with the finance team.
Marketing and Campaign Management
• Drive commercialization of brand positioning, innovation, and consumer communications.
• Plan and oversee the execution of multi-channel brand campaigns, including product launches, sustainability initiatives, and sales-driving activities.
• Manage messaging at points of sale, internal and external artwork, and digital platforms.
Customer Relationship and Digital Management
• Oversee customer relationship management, social media, website updates, and online ordering platforms.
• Act as a guardian of the customer journey, ensuring it is optimized both online and offline.
• Report on customer service scores monthly and customer profile status annually.
Creative Oversight
• Provide art direction for all brand photography.
• Develop and communicate written briefs for agencies and suppliers for campaigns and promotions.
Skills and Competencies
• Expertise in sales strategy development, marketing campaign management, and customer relationship management.
• Strong market analysis and promotional skills.
• Proven record of achieving sales targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to oversee multi-channel brand campaigns and digital platforms.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in the beverage or food industry is an added advantage.
