JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary: Coordinate and manage the marketing activities of Great Lakes Safaris (GLS) and Uganda Lodges (ULL)
Reports to: Head of Business Development (HBD) & International PR & Marketing Specialist (PRM)
Duration of job: November 2023 - April 2024
Location: Based in Kampala with potential trips upcountry/out of town

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Liaise internally and externally with HBD & PRM to develop subsequent marketing strategies quarterly - Implement the above strategies in close cooperation with the HBD.
• Carry out market research and in liaison with the HBD, PRM and Tour guides update existing itineraries and design new itinerary products.
• Liaise with the HBD & PRM in the drafting of all agents (Audley travel, Exodus Travel, EXPLORE Worldwide, etc.) /association contracts directly related to GLS/ULL annually
• Actively gather, analyze and manage customer feedback on a monthly basis
• In liaison with HBD & PRM - Plan, organize and direct communications, promotions and advertising for ULL/GLS on a monthly basis
• Organizing agents FAM Trips for both local and international agents as well as GLS/ULL.
• Monitoring and manage all social media accounts and the websites, updating them with relevant information for both GLS/ULL
• Updating the monthly newsletter for GLS/ULL and ensuring it is sent to our database Custodian of content creation - liaise with the HBD & PRM in coming up with relevant content (high resolution photos, videos and updates) for GLS/ULL
• In liaison with the HBD & PRM, participate in exhibitions, ensure follow ups are done and reports are generated
• In liaison with the HBD & PRM, maintain strong relationships with partners, agents, government agencies, tour operators, lodges and hotels, as well as other suppliers and service providers crucial for the smooth operations of the business in this industry.
• With the guidance of the PRM, provide a monthly report summarizing activities undertaken by the marketing department

Job requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Marketing
• Degree in Marketing/PR/Customer Relations or related fields
• Experience in a supervisory role will be of an added advantage
• Product knowledge related to the tourism industry
