Job Title: Medical clinical officer. (01 vacancy)
Report to: Medical officer
Duty location: Adjumani.
Remuneration: Attractive


Job Descriptions
1. Participate in patient consultations and discussion of cases with the doctors over best management suited to the patient’s condition.
2. To efficiently provide medical care for patients mainly in the outpatients department according to Uganda clinical guidelines and WHO guidelines.
3. To decide about patients in need for Doctor’s care and referral accordingly.
4. If necessary and asked, to organize, identify and carry out thorough programmes for Primary Health care and for preventive medicine.
5. Attend to emergency cases while on duty
6. Provide spot checks on the procedure performed by the nurses/lab personnel.
7. Provide on job mentorship to the nurses, CME presentation and active involvement in mortality audits.
8. Maintain a good record keeping system and undertake continuous monitoring and regular evaluation of the project activities.
9. Ensure that Medicines, medical supplies and other commodities stocks are monitored.
10. Organizes community sensitization health talk through the health camps and radio talk shows.
11. Provide regular feedback to the Medical Officer on the clinic activities.
12. Participate in the development of Health Facility work plans and reviewing them on a monthly basis with the Medical Officers.
13. Participate in the development, reviews and tracking of Health facility expenditures and budgets.
14. In collaboration with the Medical Officer, supervise nurses/Lab staff activities.
15. Ensure monthly reports are compiled.
16. Ensure that drug stock and supplies are monitored.
17. Assist with any other duties as requested by the direct supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications
1. A Diploma in clinical medicine from a reputable clinical institution
2. At least a year’s experience preferably in a hospital setting.
3. Must be registered with the professional body and have a valid practice license.
4. Experience working at private settings
