Children’s AIDS Fund Uganda (CAF El) is registered as a local organization in Uganda, dedicated to limiting suffering of HIV-impacted children and families. We provide comprehensive HIV/AIDS treatment, care, and support and prevention services through effective programming, integration, decentralization, strategic partnerships! collaboration and referral linkages.

CAF U is committed to a cost-effective, innovative and sustainable model for the scale up of national HIV programs, Health Systems Strengthening and harmonization with Ministry Of Health guidelines and the Government of Uganda policy of Public Private Partnerships tor Health.  

CAF U is supporting eight HIV treatment sites providing more than 30,000 clients with services including: Comprehensive HIV Care and treatment services, including, HCT, ART, TB/HIV, PMTCT, EID as well as community outreach and complementary services for sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and maternal Child Health (MCH). The HIV treatment sites are Family Hope Centre Kampala (FHCK), Family Hope Centre Jinja (FHCJ), Kabwohe Clinical Research Centre (KCRC), Alive Medical Services, Namugongo Fund for Special Children, Nurture Africa, Buwenge Hospital and Health Center (BHHB), and Bushenyi Medical Centre (BMC).

CAF Uganda is in the process at filling the following positions available at the CAF Uganda office and treatment site:

Medical Director (1 post) The Medical Director reports to the executive Director and is responsible for the smooth implementation and supervision‘ of all clinical activities (curative, preventive, promotive and rehabilitative) at all CAF facilities, in respect with policies and norms related to standards of clinical practice, hygiene and for the medico- legal aspects of health care. Will be responsible for all medical staff and allied professionals both junior and senior, in the line of professional seniority and/or expertise; s/he is part of CAF Uganda management team. The Medical Director participates in strategic planning and implementation; funding proposal preparation and follow up donor reporting and sustainability planning for country based programs.

Job Requirements:

A medical degree with an infectious disease specialty and/or Training in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, Post- graduate studies in leadership management and health such' as MS, MPH, More than 5 years in management, at least of them in an HIV/AIDS program, A minimum in 5 years“-at experience working with an NGO, preferably in management} and a minimum of 2 years of experience with U.S. federal grant program management and financial Compliance requirements.  

Clinical Services Coordinator (1) Reports to the Medical Director; and provide onsite technical‘ support "arid- coordination for the 5 GAF Uganda supported sites, and through working with the medical officers at all sites ensures standardization and quality of clinical care. Job requirement: MBCHB, a Masters in pediatrics, or internal medicine its equivalent from a recognized university, with a 5 years’ experience in performing  a health care services environment with ability to direct and supervise clinical staff, Must have working knowledge of Ministry of Health and Uganda- AIDS commission regulations
