JOB DETAILS:
Introduction
Hemat Medical Services (HMS) is one of the businesses owned by Hemat Holdings Limited, a private company limited by shares. HMS is a first-class Medical Centre that offers both general and specialized health services to the community of Buloba and neighbouring villages in Wakiso District as well as the entire country. It is located on Kampala-Mityana-Fort portal Road about 20km from Kampala City.
HMS started its operations this year in February 2025 by a team of experienced health workers with a passion to serve communities and enhance primary healthcare as we aim to contribute to Universal Health Coverage (UHC)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing duties of both a nurse and midwife, and working collaboratively with our medical team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by Doctors.
• Monitor patients' conditions, vital signs, and test results.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to pregnant women.
• Provide family planning services, including counseling and contraception.
• Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth, and reproductive health.

Additional Responsibilities
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Adhere to medical centre policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements:
• Diploma in Midwifery
• Registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong clinical skills, including assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with medical centre policies, procedures, and standards.
• Experience in a private medical centre or hospital.
