JOB DETAILS:
Our client, Horyal Investments Holding Company Ltd has commenced the process to operationalize á leading new sugar factory at AtiakUganda ,East Africa. The Factory, jointly owned by the Government of Republic of Uganda ,with annual production capacity(APC). 60,000 Tonnes of granular sugar seeks to recruit competent persons for the following position.
Job Title: Mill Engineer
Reports to: Works Manager/Factory Manager
Purpose: To ensure the smooth operation of all factory plant and machinery throughout the shift, and maintain the engineering services for the production process in close coordination with the process supervisors and other section heads in the factory. .

Specific knowledge & Skills:
• In-depth knowledge, in operation of various machines used in the factory
• Use and application of lubricants
• Dismantling overhauling and assembling of heavy machines
• Good analytical and quick fault detection skills
• Good supervisory skills
• Good training and teaching skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Report writing skills
• Machinery functioning principles and procedures
• Comprehend and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Familiarity with technical maintenance engineering procedures.
Required Education qualification:
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a reputable institution.
• A postgraduate qualification in sugar technology and a certificate in Supervisory management are of an added advantage.
Experience:
• A minimum of seven (7) years hands on experience in a mechanical maintenance function of a large heavy process industry, four (4) years of which should have been in a sugar industry
Age: 30-45 Years
