Uganda Youth Network (UYONET) is a leading national youth organization that works to mainstream young peoples’ engagement in development and governance processes in Uganda and East Africa. With a membership of 31 district networks constituted by over 147 youth organizations, UYONET has continued to be the apex of youth programming and designing appropriate interventions that respond to the needs of the youth across the region. UYONET is looking for suitably qualified candidate for a position based in Kampala, Uganda with frequent up country travels.

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Maior Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide an overall coordination in implementation of the organization's M&E framework
  
• Develop M&E plans to effectively analyze and present project/programme reports in a synchronized manner and upload them through the online systems on time consistently.
  
• Develop tools and processes that support quality programme monitoring and evaluation in close coordination with the Programme Manager and respective Programme Department Officers in Policy
• Advocacy on Youth issues and Membership and Partnership components.
  
• Devise terms of reference for carrying out base line studies as well as routine and periodic monitoring of outputs and document and disseminate activities and accomplishments of different interventions in form of reports and social media sharing.
  
• Establish a reliable and consistent set of outcome indicators for all programme activities as well as developing an organization — wide core set of process indicators
  
• Develop in coordination with the Finance Department, a system to ensure that the program planning, including inputs and targets is aligned with the overall programme log frames and others types of M&E indicators
  
• Ensure Timey compilation of internal and external progress reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual oas s
  
• Develop and maintain an effective M&E qstem for the organization and manage the day-to-day operations ol the M&E system
  
• Provide M&E support to UYONET partners and members Organizations

Qualification, experience and competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Social Science, Development
  
• Studies or related field and a postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management
  
• Have at least 3 years experience in similar position Formal training in Monitoring and Evaluation will bean added advantage
  
• Demonstrated competencies in setting up M&E systems will be an added advantage
  
• Promoting organization learning and knowledge acquisition and sharing
  
• Analytical and logical thinking
  
• Excellent report writing skills and ability to be creative and use of social media
