To design and implement systems to track and assess the progress and impact of projects or programs in the Authority 2. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES i. Prepare, implement and periodically review the FIA Statistics Strategic Plan, as part of the Plan for National Statistical Development. ii. Prepare periodic reports such as quarterly and annual M&E reports.
iii. Provide cross-departmental support in development and implementation of monitoring plans, with SMART indicators.
iv. Coordinate the conduct of periodic evaluations of FIA programs/initiatives/interventions.
v. Implement monitoring systems and maintain an up-to-data base for tracking fundamental economic, and institutional specific ML/TF/PF indicators for ease of reporting (internal and external).
vi. Implement M&E guidelines and ensure that the standards are met.
vii. Keep track of challenges and issues raised through monitoring reports, to inform continuous learning and improvement.
viii.Provide support to the Planning and Budgeting function, and the Research and Policy function in aspects involving monitoring and evaluation.
3. PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
A. Qualifications:
i. Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Development Economics, Quantitative Economics or Monitoring and Evaluation from a recognized University.
B. Experience
i. No experience required
C. Competencies
i. Knowledge and understanding of the Authority’s vision, mission and objectives. ii. Should possess values of the Authority which include; integrity, confidentiality, Accountability, professionalism.
iii. Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
iv. Working knowledge of computer and data processing applications to budgeting and planning in the public sector like Stata, SPSS, Epi data, E views, MS Office packages.
v. Good report writing skills;
vi. Excellent verbal and oral communication skills,
vii. Excellent Interpersonal and stakeholder management skills;
viii.Excellent Data Management and analytical skills.
ix. Excellent Planning and Organising skills;
