JOB DETAILS:

Duties
• Develop data collection tools for the various indicators.
• Train partner staff and support partners to ensure collection of relevant and appropriate data.
• Collate the data collected by various partners and enter it in the HarvestPlus database.
• Participate in regular planning and review meetings to enable participatory monitoring evaluation and learning of partners to improve performance. Participate in report writing.
• Participate actively in program planning process to ensure that MEL activities are incorporated in work plans for partners.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Business Administration, or Development Studies with 5 years' experience.
• Experience in M&E methods and approaches (quantitative, qualitative, participatory field research
• methods) including practices in the agriculture or nutrition sectors.
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), knowledge of statistical software (STATA or SPSS). Skilled in data management and analysis.
• Very good oral and written English communication skills; fluency in some local languages.
• Collaborative, self-motivated, and able to work well within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Very good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Experience working with NGO community and local governments.
• Knowledge of pro-poor strategies; gender-sensitive approaches.
• Solid understanding of rural development, with a focus on participatory processes, joint management, and gender issues.
