FUNCTION
The National Training Assistant, under the overall supervision of the Project Coordinator and direct supervision of the National training Manager, is responsible for procuring, organizing and coordinating training in the project on a day-to day basis, provides optimal support for beneficiary organisations and complies with the intervention's objectives of quality and effectiveness.

The National Training Assistant will provide broad based training assistance and support to the Project Coordinator, the National Training Manager, the Finance and Administration Officer, the beneficiaiy organisations and the Training providers. Primaw responsibilities are: support for training workshops and front-line service for all beneficiary organisations, scholars, consultants, and other various contacts.

Major roles and responsibilities:

  • Assist the project coordinator and national training manager with the daily organisation and management of the training activities;
  • Provide frontline customer service to the beneficiary organisations and answer questions regarding all training activities;
  • Coordinate training workshops; including but not limited to payments of allowances to participants (on-site) or through mobile money; maintaining training certificate records, maintain the training registration system, enrolment information and expense report;
  • Organise and coordinate all workshop logistics; including but not limited to training venue scheduling, catering, eventually setting up and breaking down audio/visual equipment and facilitate materials for all trainers including external consultants (printing of course materials, beamer, name tags,...), order and maintain training supplies;
  • Maintain all organisations and training documentation in electronic and hard copy format;
  • Contribute to the reporting of the project activities at the different levels;
    Participate in field visits to beneficiary organisations and training providers.

Education and Experience

  • The National Training Assistant has the following profile and expertise:
  • Holds a degree in Business Administration, HR or Education and Humanities.
  • A minimum of 3 year's experience in organizing trainings at local level, at international level is an asset.
  • Person Profile:
  • Available for frequent up-country travel.
  • Customer service orientation. .
  • Highly energetic, pro-active and capable of working independently and in a team environment.
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, accurate and thorough.
  • Willingness to be a support role. ‘
  • Good organisational skills. .
  • Demonstrated written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. '
  • Good knowledge of computer applications (MS Word, Excel), aptitude to learn_ computer programs/tools specific to BTC.
  • Experience using search engines and internet.
