AMSAF East Africa Limited is a platform for agricultural aggregation, trading and financing operating in Uganda. AMSAF provides a digital platform food system stakeholders connect with each other and to the resources they need to thrive. Grain Buyers and Grain Sellers, Inputs Suppliers and Farmers, Financial Institutions and Borrowers all transact over AMSAF to improve their capacity utilization, access to suppliers and access to customers.
AMSAF is a joint venture between Star Agri and Asili Agriculture. Star Agri is India’s leading post- harvest management solution provider. Asili is Uganda’s leading agricultural producer and wholesaler. The two partners have joined forces to leverage their technology, competencies and networks to establish the largest regional platform for grain trade and agriculture financing.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The AMSAF Operations Assistant will be responsible for identifying, on-boarding and managing relationships with suppliers who will supply raw materials on AMSAF.
• Prepare invoices for AMSAF financial partners per the agreed timelines
• Prepare and keep track of all the relevant data required for completing agreements with AMSAF financial partners in a timely manner
• Reconcile records related to Agro-inputs and Aggregation loans bi-weekly and share a brief with the Ops lead.
• Support the Ops lead in the preparation of any adhoc reports that may be requested for from time to time
• Support the Ops lead in the preparation of seasonal budgets
• Prepare and maintain seasonal dashboards tailored to the business needs with guidance from the and support from the Ops lead
• Ensure that any agreements that require printing are printed on time and handed over to the responsible parties for distribution
• Collaborate with FTAs to ensure that the company copy of the signed agreements are received back and filed accordingly.
• Support the Ops lead to make sure the process controls defined are effectively implemented
• Attend to any other administrative task(s) that may be presented from time to time by the Ops lead
• Work with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations.
• Ensure that deadlines are met and adapt to changing priorities.
• Present a positive and professional image for the organization.
Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
• Degree in a finance related field with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• Ability to speak English and effective communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite is a must.
• Tech-savvy
