Job purpose summary:
Reporting directly to the Country Director, The Operations Manager will oversee day to day operations within the organization, including support to the leadership team to maximize quality and efficiency of services provided to chents and donors. The job holder will oversee the work of the administrative team and ensure that the support processes run smoothly. They will support the development and implementation of operational procedures and systems as may be required

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Management
• Develop and implement Operations strategic objectives for increased output and efficiency within the organization, in line with the 5 Goals located in the 2022-2027 Strategic Plan.
• Oversee, monitor and provide support to the implementation of Hope Speak's Country program and ensure that strategic and operational objectives are achieved effectively.
Process and systems management
• Develop and implement processes and systems needed to ensure efficient operations and legal compliance with Ugandan laws.
• Support the implementation of existing processes and systems within Hope Speaks.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
• A minimum of 7 years’ continuous operations and systems management experience.
• Proven track record of achieving results in a humanitarian context in the areas of human resources, inventory and feet management, procurement, IT and communications in developing countries.
• Track record in management of people and teams
• Knowledge of Public Procurement Laws of Uganda PPDA and Knowledge of donor requirements (or international procurement best practices).
• Knowledge of accounting, and proficiency in Excel is an added advantage
