JOB DETAILS:
Terms of Reference: The Platforms Development Assistant will be expected to assist the Platforms Development Officer with a number of tasks and activities. These include:
• Assist the Platforms Development Officer in development and coordination of different Multi-stakeholder Platforms / value chains and gender and youth work at UAA.
• Assist the Platforms Development Officer in logistical coordination for all activities of the MSPs.
• Assist the Platforms Development Officer in writing reports and minutes of MSP meetings and activities.
• Where applicable be in position to train/discuss issues related to gender and youth at different events.
• Represent the Platforms Development Officer at any official events whenever requested.
• Assist the Value chains Specialist with any other assignments upon request.

Requirements:
• Ability and proven experience in organising events/activities.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to travel to various parts of the country amidst bad weather and roads.
• Willingness to learn and unlearn at work.
• Knowledge about food systems/ value chains / willingness to learn
• Knowledge and experience on gender inclusion/transformation and related subjects / willingness to learn
• Excellent teamwork and leadership history
• Willingness and/or past history with Youth related activities
• Basic knowledge for policy and advocacy / willingness to learn.
• Computer Literacy (MS word, excel and Power point presentation).
