Purpose of the Job:
To provide overall strategic leadership in the Academic and Administrative programs of the institution.

Terms of Employment:

Contract for 5 years subject to renewal.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership through building an effective senior team to achieve the effective management of the Institution's fiscal, human and intellectual resources in accordance with the applicable policies, rules and regulations.
• Mobilize and account for resources for Institutional maintenance, running of programmes and development of the institute.
• Initiate the formulation and implementation of strategic plans and budgets, policies and programmes to advance the Institution's Vision, Mission and Goals.
• Identify and maintain working and collaboration linkages and promotes strategic alliances with major stakeholders/partners both national and international.
• Build and promote the institutes image and reputation nationally and internationally.
• Oversee the effective and efficient performance of both academic and administrative function of the institute. initiate and develop work plans for the institute.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authority.

Qualification and Work Experience:
• Should hold a minimum of a Master of Science Degree in any of the following: Earth Science, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geological Engineering or any other relevant Engineering field obtained from an internationally recognised University.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Science.
• Must be registered with a relevant Engineering Professional body.
• Post Graduate qualification in management will be an added advantage.
• Must have a minimum of twelve [12] years’ working experience in a reputable training institution, three [3] of which should have been gained at the level of a Deputy Principal or at senior management level in a reputable training Institution.
