The AIDS Support Organization (TASO Uganda) , was founded to contribute to the process of preventing HIV infection, restoring hope and improving the quality of Lite of persons, families and communities affected by HlV infection and disease. TASO requires the services of a dedicated, competent, and innovative and results oriented person for employment on a contract basis for the post below;

Procurement Manager (01 Post)

Location: TASO Headquarters

Reports to: Executive Director

Supervisees: Procurement Office

Main Purpose of the Job

To manage the procurement function of TASO, provide technical assistance to the procurement committees on procurement matters and give support to departments and projects in regards to procurement activities.

Key Outputs

• Procurement and disposal policies, systems, strategies, plans and procedures developed
  
• Technical support and guidance on procurement matters provided
  
• Contracts and memorandum of understanding developed
  
• Compliance with procurement process established and reports written
  
• Coordination ot assets and inventory disposal managed
  
• Organizational capacity development provided
  
• Coordination with the Chairperson procurement Committee done

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPEBEIENCE

Academic Qualifications

Must possess a Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management Certificate, a Master's Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management with Membership to the Institute of Procurement Professionals of Uganda (lPPU).

Experience and Exposure Five (5) years in the management of procurement activities in a fairly large organization, preferably donor-funded. Specific Knowledge of Laws, policies and regulations governing procurements will be an added advantage.
