ABRIDGED BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN BIDDING
Procurement of Expendables under Framework Contract for (24 months) MOD/SUPLS/2024–2025/00201
1. The Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs with its partners has allocated/received funds to be used for the acquisition of Expendables under Framework Contractual Arrangement.
LOT DESCRIPTION Bid Security (UGX)
LOT 1 - SHAREES 25,258,904
LOT 2 - LIGHTERS, NEEDLES & SEWING THREADS 19,776,400
LOT 3 - SPEARING JELLY 14,734,944
2. The Entity invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above supplies.
3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding Method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at $a) from 08:00am - 5:00pm.
5. The Bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at $a) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Units.100, 000/a [Uganda shilling One Hundred Thousand only] The method of payment will be by use of Bank payment advise form to the bank upon which the bidder shall be issued a general receipt at MODVA Cash Office Mbuya
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at a)atorbefore12:30PM,7[th]May2025.AllbidsmustbeaccompaniedbyanoriginalBidSecurityinformofabankGuaranteeandthismustbevaliduntil2[nd]December2025.Latebidsshallberejected.Bidswillbeopenedinthepresenceofthebidderrepresentativeswhochoosetoattendattheaddressbelowata)atorbefore12:30PM,7[th]May2025.AllbidsmustbeaccompaniedbyanoriginalBidSecurityinformofabankGuaranteeandthismustbevaliduntil2[nd]December2025.Latebidsshallberejected.Bidswillbeopenedinthepresenceofthebidderrepresentativeswhochoosetoattendattheaddressbelowata) at 12:45 PM, 7[th] May 2025.
7. There shall not be a pre – bid meeting/ site visit on the dates indicated in the proposed schedule in this notice.
