JOB DETAILS:
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain a clear understanding of market trends and opportunities
• Consider different market situations in the two countries
• Identify product and/or application needs by maintaining a close understanding of customer needs
• Consider existing and new/alternative product distribution channels
• Ensure all marketing activities are accurately costed and reflect the relevant sales budgets
• Development pricing strategies
• Offer input to the development and writing of strategic plans
• Follow-up on marketing plans
• Work closely with the business units to ensure all necessary and appropriate support material is available
• Work with Tech Services Managers to ensure necessary and appropriate technical material is available and presented at appropriate forums
• Monitor market data and keep the business unit leader well informed
• Develop portfolio and product strategies for key market segments
• Continually define and refine quality parameters in relation to different market needs

As the product manager, you will have highly developed communication skills as you will need to work across all levels of business – including purchasing, R&D, Manufacturing and sales teams to ensure sales and margin targets are achieved and aligned with the organisations strategic plans.

Skills And Qualifications
• A Bsc. In Agriculture from a recognized university
• At least three year relevant experience
• At least three years driving experience and holder of a clean driving license
• Demonstrate achievement of product sales objectives and financial targets
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively in a diverse team environment
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Good command of the English language
• An in-depth understanding of the young animal feed industry and the principal market drivers, and having farmingl experience is desirable
• Experience as an effective product manager, project team player and the ability to present ideas effectively and communicate well with peers and at all levels of management
