Title: Production and Training Manager Textile Technology (Tailoring and Cutting Garments)
Reports to the Head of Section Textile.

Purpose of the job:
Plan and organize for the production of quality garments not limited to uniforms, overalls, aprons, etc and market them for income generation and sustainability of the unit.

Duties and responsibilities (Key Result Areas);
1. Carry out costing of the requirements in the section for production of quality products
2. Responsible for the tailors and students involved in the production of items in the workshop
3. Carry out marketing of the products from the production units
4. Timely production of items ordered by customers.
5. Ensure safety and efficient operation of equipment in the production unit
6. Manage the performance of the staff in the production unit for efficient and effective delivery of services.
7. Liaise with the head of section Textile in identifying students to be engaged in the production for practical acquisition.
8. Provide monthly reports on the progress of production of the unit.

Persons Specifications and Experience
1. Diploma in Textile technology or Advance certificate in Tailoring and Garment cutting
2. Practical experience of three years in a busy workshop
3. High and proven integrity.
