True North Consult Ltd is a leading Human Resources Consultancy Firm in Uganda. Our Client, FAWEU, is a Non-Governmental Organization established in 1997 to address gender disparities in Education. FAWE Uganda has secured funding from the MasterCard Foundation to implement the Higher Education Access Programme and therefore seeks to hire competent, dynamic and experienced professionals to till the following positions;

Title: Programme Accountant
Duty station: Kampala. Head Office
Report to: Finance & Administrative Manager

Job Summary: The Programme Accountant shall he responsible
for the financial implementation of the MasterCard Foundation Programme with regard to cash management, book keeping, financial records management, Data Management, Audit Process, Process Accounting and all financial matters relating to the programme. The position holder will also support internal control management to ensure that all funds are accounted for in a timely manner as per established FAWEU/MasterCard Foundation financial procedures and the Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP).

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting Option), Accounting‘ Business Administration or related field with at least 3 years of experience in a similar position. Professional Codification e.g. ACCA and CPA will be an added advantage. Advanced Computer Literacy is essential. Knowledge of Quick Books and other Finance Packages is a must.
