JOB DETAILS:
Job Brief: The Project Controls Supervisor is a key member of the project team and will be responsible for leading the project controls processes working directly with the project manager to help define the project’s goals and objectives; create and maintain a project’s budget and schedule, analyse progress reported against the work schedules; and recommend actions to improve schedule progress.
The Project Controls Supervisor will maintain effective tools and systems to support project delivery & reporting. The position reports functionally to the Project Controls Manager and directly to the Lot Manager on a day-to-day basis.
Required Competencies
• Competency and proven experience within Worley or equivalent proprietary management systems and associated desktop applications for project delivery
• Competency within industry applications such as Assure, OMIE, Aconex, PowerBI, PRISM, SharePoint, P6, Adobe, MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
• Demonstrated knowledge of compliance, risk controls and site HSE requirements.
• A high focus on identifying and meeting the key milestone deliverables and project objectives.
• A high attention to details and ability to effectively deal with critical priorities and time management.
• Demonstrated capability to build and maintain benchmarking database and linked dashboards.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the management and use of Primavera P6, TILOS and MSP software.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Risk Management, Controls, and implementation of mitigation strategies.
• Comprehensive understanding of interface management within complex projects, including scheduling, execution planning methods and associated functional planning support.
• Proficient in Earned Value Technique and utilisation in assessment of project status.
• Experience in supporting projects with detailed planning, scheduling, cost management and reporting.
• Ability to monitor and capture project performance & deliver accurate, reliable reporting metrics & KPI’s
• Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work cooperatively as part of multidiscipline team.
• Previous experience working with multicultural contractors’ and reporting their performance.
• Autonomous, self-motivated, and flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to change or shifting priorities.
Required Experience
• A minimum of 10 years or more experience working as a senior planner in the Oil & Gas sectors.
• Extensive experience of the detailed levels of planning and scheduling techniques, resource loading and cost engineering required to build accurate models for cost & schedule estimates & forecast schedules.
• Experienced in analysing planning data and creating accurate reporting KPI’s and progress dashboards
Required Qualifications or Education
• Professional / Tertiary qualified, preferably an engineering degree or diploma via an accredited university, college or similar institute or Company agreed discipline qualifications that support the role.
