Background:
Trust for Africa's Orphans Uganda (TAOU) is a local NGO registered with the National NGO Board. Its mission is to improve the livelihoods of the most vulnerable members of the community through agricultural transformation, learning to improve and expand their focus towards skilled, transparent and business-minded members of the community in northern Uganda.

TAO in partnership with TAOU are supporting girl education through production and provision of affordable reusable Trust Sanitary Pads in Kole district. On our quest to expand our capacities and market coverage; we are looking for competent, dynamic, committed and a result oriented professional to fill the position of Project Manager to join our dynamic, innovative and committed team.

Job summary:
The incumbent will be required to work closely with TAOU project structures especially the women advocates in raising awareness within the community for change in attitude regarding the use of reusable sanitary pads.

Job Duties:

  • To manage the channel sales as well as indirect sales network
  • To work with the production team to ensure effective management and record keeping systems are maintained
  • To work with other team members to update and develop business plans and produce relevant reports and funding applications. '
  • To recruit, train and supervise our project volunteers and sales representatives working remotely in their communities
  • Building the capacity of girls on menstrual hygiene management and Sexual Reproductive Health
  • Coordinate capacity building to equip the targeted service providers with skills to provide quality services in in menstrual hygiene and Sexual Reproductive Health.
  • Preparation and submission of periodic status reports to the supervisor for project monitoring and evaluation.

Required skills and Competencies:

  • The incumbent should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, social work, public health, or a related field. He/she should have at least 5 years working experience in NGOs in the mid-level management position and must be fluent Luo.
  • At least three years’ experience working with adolescents/youths
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse partners/stakeholders to meet shared objectives.
  • Experience in management and coordination of adolescent/youth sexual reproductive health interventions, preferably with an international non governmental organization
  • Knowledge of adolescent sexual reproductive health policies and strategies
  • Additional training at post-graduate level and experience managing reproductive health programs is of added advantage
