JOB DETAILS:
Sebei Diocese Community Development and Empowerment (SD-CODE) received funding from DGF to undertake activities that are focused on mobilizing citizens and enabling them to air their voices to attract the attention of decision and policy levels. SD-CODE wishes to invite suitably qualified individuals, wishes to invite suitably qualified individuals, with qualifications and experience to apply for the position of project officer and project accountant (3 posts). This is a three-year employment opportunity with possibility of renewal subject to performance and availability of funds.
The project officer positions entail leading in project implementation while supporting planning and budgeting in consultation with the line manager. Key duties for the position are work closely with the M&E officer, District stake holder Communities and CSO’s in the implementation of project activities prepare work plans activity and monthly reports undertake community advocacy mobilization monitoring and evaluation of the project activities and perform other duties assigned

Experience and qualifications The ideal candidate for this position should hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies and any other relevant qualification. The candidate should: Others include: Be conversant with local dialect (Kiswahili, English and Kupsabiny), the ability to work independently and meet deadlines, Good Communication skills, Proficiency in Microsoft office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and outlook, Flexibility with the ability to cope with stressful situations, Ability to travel within rural areas with challenging road networks
