Responsible for ensuring progress toward goals for the following indicators:

2. # of cooperatives benefitting from the use of CDP-developed tools and resources
3. Number of health care provider staff trained to offer coop insurance
4. # of care providers offering coop services
5. # of coop members
6. Average annual coop and provider surplus (with support from M&E coordinator).
Train providers and conduct support supervision as they move through a graduated sequence of preparing to offer insurance. Ensure system set up is effective such that they only provide coop benefits to members who pay on-time. Identify early adopters who are eager to learn and build their skills so there is a sustainable workforce in each corridor of Uganda for training new coop providers. Prioritize support for providers who are investing the most in their future. Help them succeed first, then make their success easy for others to see. Prepare resources to be used for each activity and ensure stock supply for last minute use. Write reports that allow you to learn and improve your tools and skills. Use those lessons to build others’ skills. Validate each provider’s data at least one time per quarter, submitting validation reports for 1/3 of total coop providers with each monthly report.
Identify potential trainers and prepare them for training by identifying their goals. Train trainers to teach cooperative health care providers to accurately track members, date and amount of payment, treatment costs with all matching receipt slips and books of record. Trainers ensure providers orient members and make member identification passbooks BEFORE allowing them to access care. Trainers can show evidence that providers keep members informed about their roles, responsibilities and benefits at least quarterly. Trainers can give correct advice based on CPTT data to enable providers to increase cost recovery and expand membership.
Identify opportunities for girls trained at the GC to contribute to cooperative objectives and offer opportunities where possible. Include girls in trainings that are applicable to them. Highlight the skills of the girls to increase visibility of GCs and skilled girls.
Use CPTT data to prioritize your time where we can have the most impact. Invest in early adopters first, then make it easy for others to see their success. Engage staff and partners to support your efforts here while building and broadening their capacity.
Adhere to HPU reporting requirements by submitting your monthly reports, provider data validation reports, travel requests, accountability including your timesheet-- on time. Document what has been tried, what works, what doesn’t, lessons learned and recommendations to improve project impact. Constantly look for opportunities to build staff and stakeholder capacity, sharing what you know, and document those efforts in your reports.
Turn in timely, accurate receipts for time spent and all expenses incurred.
