JOB DETAILS:
Uganda Clays Limited is Uganda's leading manufacturer of quality building products located at Kajjansi, 14 kilometers along Kampala-Entebbe Road with a second factory at Kamonkoli in Mbale. The company seeks to recruit competent and dynamic individuals of high integrity to fill the following position.
1. Quality Assurance Assistant-Clay Preparation & Moulding -Kajjansi Reports to: Manager-Quality Assurance
Job Purpose: The Quality Assurance Assistant-Clay Preparation & Moulding is responsible for working together with the Quarry Officer, Quality Assurance Officer and Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that clay recommended for excavation meets the required standards, collecting samples and vitally analyzing the rejects. .

Key responsibilities:
• Involvement in the prospecting & quality control in the quarry before excavation.Collecting Clay samples for analysis.
• Collecting samples of green products for size/dimension checks.
• Rejects Analysis.
• Quality Assurance Spot Checks & HSE Assessments.
• Working in accordance and within Uganda Clay's Quality and Safety Procedures.
• To carry out other duties as requested by the Quality Assurance Officer.
• To carry out other duties as requested by the Quality Assurance Officer

Job Skills: Not Specified

Job requirements;
• A Diploma in Chemistry or Industrial Ceramics/General Engineering with ceramics as the main subject.
• At least 2 years' experience in a busy manufacturing set up.
• Good sampling and analytical skills
• Good knowledge of ceramics manufacturing processes:
• Clay preparation, Product Moulding, burning, combustion and product grading.
• Good knowledge of physico-chemical characteristics of products, parameters and standards applied to Clay products manufacturing.

Job Education: A Diploma

Job Experience: At least 2 years'
