About us: Walimu is a non-profit organization whose overall goal is to improve care of hospitalised severely ill patients in Uganda.
WALIMU seeks to hire a suitable candidate for the position of a Radiographer for the Rapid Research in Diagnostics Development for TB (R2D2) study to be based at Mulago Hospital, Kisenyi HC IV, and Kisugu HC III in Kampala. R2D2 study is a multi-center study which seeks to identify and rigorously assess promising early-stage tuberculosis (TB) triage, diagnostic and drug resistance tests in clinical studies conducted in settings of intended use. Successful candidate will report to the Study Coordinator

WORKING HOURS: 8 hours per day
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
The Radiographer will mainly be responsible for conducting chest X-rays for enrolled study patients at the three health facilities. .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct chest X-rays at the three Health facilities for patients enrolled to the study.
• Provides care for the machine and administrative oversight of participants coming to the health center for X-ray.
• Upload digitized images to the server and distribution of the same to the research teams.
• Provide regular reports on the x-ray images uploaded to the server and data entry into database (REDCap).
• Participate in bi-weekly study meetings.
• Participate in any other meetings with the study team to review cases and research procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Diploma in Medical Radiography from a reputable Institution
• Two years progressive work experience as a Radiographer
• Valid registration with Allied Health Professional Council
• Valid certificate of good clinical practice
• Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree will have an added advantage
