JOB DETAILS:
Key Result Areas:
• Operate and monitor recycling equipment such as washing lines, crushers, balers, and shredders to process materials.
• Sort materials such as plastic, glass, and paper and ensure they are processed in the correct machinery.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating machinery, replacing worn parts, and repairing equipment as necessary.
• Conduct regular safety checks to ensure that machinery is operating safely and in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and perform routine adjustments and repairs. Monitor the quality of recycled materials and ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
• Maintain production records and prepare reports on production output, equipment maintenance, and material quality.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the recycling team, such as sorters and drivers, to ensure that production quotas are met.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Any other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Production Officer.

Educational Qualifications and Experience
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education with a bias in science subjects.
• 1-2 years of experience in machine operation, preferably in a recycling or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with recycling equipment and machinery, including balers, crushers, and shredders.
