JOB DETAILS:
The Northern Uganda Resilience initiative (NURI) is one oi three engagements under the Uganda Programme on Sustainable and inclusive Development of the Economy (UPSIDE). which is a thematic programme of the Danish Country Programme inr Uganda 2018-2022. NURI will pursue enhanced resilience and equitable economic development in Nortiiern Uganda, including lor reiugeos and host communities, by supporting Climate Smart Agricultum, Rural Infrastructure, and Water Resources Management for 4 years imm 2tJii) to 2022. Geographically NURl covers 9 districts in Northern Ugaruia. namely; Arua, Pakwach, Nebbi, Zombo, Moyo and Adiumani in West Nile sub region and Agago, Kitgum and Lamwo in the Acholi Sub Regions. Besides tareting nationals, NURl works with refugee settlements within selected districts including Rhino Camp in Arua District, Palorinya Relugee Settlement in Moyo District, 3 selected retugee settlements in Adiumani District‘ and Paiabek Ogiil Refugee Settlement in Lamwo District. NURl activities are implemented by various local partners, e.g. District Farmers Associations - (DFAs), and Resilient AgriculturaiUnits (RAUs).

A Coordination function (CF) has been established to oversee and coordinate the implementation of NURI. NURI CF seeks to hire a highly qualified, dedicated and experienced national for the position of Regional Coordinator.
Purpose of the position
• To provide technical leadership and managerial oversight for the NURI programme in the region
• Ensure timely implementation and reporting of NURI programme activities in the region.
• Provide ongoing program technical support, supervision, guidance, capacity building and motivation to ensure effective performance and retention of NURI programme staff.
Education & Knowledge
• Master's or bachelors degree In agriculture
• 5 years‘ experience in project implementation and agricultural extension work
• Experience in developing training materials
Technical Skills & Abilities:
• Well-developed and effective communication skills — both verbal and written
• Presentation skills
• Ability to work independently, often under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Fully conversant with MS Office applications
• A valid driving license
