PCE is sole authorised representative for INCAB in East Africa covering Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Southern Sudan Burundi and D.R.Congo. Based in
Perma (Russia) and Texas (USA), INCAB is the largest manufacturer of fibre optic cables in Europe. With 93 cable designs, Incab has the widest product range in the industry that includes outdoor and indoor cables, OPGW, fire-rated cables and sensor cables. Our fibre optic cables find application in diverse industries such as telecommunications, power sector, oil and gas, ICT, health, education, transport, petrochemicals, petroleum refining and security. We seek to hire a self-driven dynamic person for the position of Regional Sales Engineer (RSE) to grow fibre optic cable sales in East Africa.
Position Summary:
The RSE will be responsible for growing fiber optic sales for point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and among fibre optic users within East Africa. S (he) must have a proven sales history and able to develop and maintain business relationships with customers of all sizes to maximize service account value. S (he) will respond to customer inquiries, network and make cold calls to initiate and pursue business prospects in various fibre optic market segments. .
Essential job functions:
• Achieve or exceed planned sales levels for all fibre optic products within targeted market segments.
• Direct sales responsibility for acquiring customers to meet sales goals.
• Develop and follow a comprehensive time and territory management plan to effectively maximize coverage and efficiently manage expenses.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with existing and prospective business customers.
• Grow and maintain potential prospect funnel by actively cold calling and attending networking events.
• Strong knowledge of fibre optic technology, cable types-by-use and their market segments.

Knowledge and abilities:
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in fibre optic/ telecommunication industry.
• Sales, closing, and networking skills.
• Cold-calling skills.
• Excellent networking skills and the ability to create, build, and maintain relationships;
• Presentation, computer and communication skills.
• Self-driven with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and function well in high stress situations.
• Ability to solve problems and make sound, independent decisions.
• Broad knowledge of fibre optic products and their application in diverse sectors
• Suave marketer and articulate communicator.
• Able to travel throughout East Africa
• Experience with Salesforce CRM a plus
Education and Experience
• University degree in telecommunications, ICT or electrical engineering.
• Sales / business qualification is added advantage
• Sales experience is mandatory.
