Our client, a long in existence (O & A-level) secondary school in central Uganda seeks to recruit a competent and mature Registrar. Huram Solutions hereby invites suitably qualified candidates to fill the position.
Title: Registrar (1 Position)
Reports to: The Head Teacher
Duration: 2-year renewable
Job Purpose:
The main purpose of the job role is to support the Head Teacher ensure that student enrolment and school marketing/publicity grows students’ numbers. He or she then bears the ultimate responsibility for overseeing students’ admissions and retention, developing and reviewing policies, ensuring staff compliance, establishing key alliances and strategic partnerships, planning and implementing an effective system of records management and administration to maximize achievement of plans and objectives. The Registrar is also responsible for Human Resource Management; overseeing quality outputs, staff welfare and collaborative engagements that promote the schools’ reputation.
Minimum Requirements:
University Degree in Education or a related discipline (Master’s Degree is an added advantage). 6 years’ experience in secondary school education or a related function with at least 3 years at managerial level. The ideal candidate should have an eye for detail, ability to handle multiple confl icting responsibilities, sound values; strong people management and mobilization experience; teammanagement/ supervision; ability to communicate effectively; strong interpersonal skills; results-driven; ability to work independently and take initiative; and demonstrated discretion.
