JOB DETAILS:
The Relationship Officer – Group Banking will be reporting to the Relationship Manager and is responsible for recruiting of clients and visiting prospective clients’ homes and businesses to assess credit worthiness.
Specific responsibilities for job position:
• Marketing the Group lending product.
• Client sensitization and training.
• Preparation of credit applications for credit committees according to policy.
• Loan disbursement according to policy.
• Follow- up and recovery of loans according to policy.
• Ensuring proper filing of all Group Lending documentation
The Relationship Officer – Micro reports to the Relationship Manager and is responsible for recruiting of clients, verifying sources of income and visiting prospective clients’ homes and businesses to assess credit worthiness
Specific responsibilities for job position:
1. To recruit, nature and sustain new Micro relationships that have a potential to grow and provide superior returns and contribute towards assets and liabilities growth as per set targets.
2. Active pipeline management with the objective to meet agreed personal growth objectives across all product ranges and clients’ segments;
3. Superior management of the client portfolio in order to grow and retain existing business, whilst continuously reviewing existing client wallets with an eye to optimizing the Bank’s revenue through selling/promoting appropriate product bundles.
4. Actively undertake the negotiation and structuring of transactions in the prospective and closing stages with the aim of attaining value for the client, while protecting the business interests of the Bank
5. Work hand-in-hand with other stakeholders on the timely and efficient preparation of high-quality credit proposals, and drive turn-around time well within the Bank’s objectives;
6. Vigilant arrears management in line with the Bank’s policies in order to spot early attention areas – the objective is to maintain the loan portfolio’s NPA percentage (well) within agreed parameters
Minimum Academic Qualifications for jobs above
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Development Economics, Economics, Development studies, Business Studies, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Financial Services and Business Computing, International Business, Business Statistics, Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management, Social Science, SWASA, Education, Microfinance, Adult and Community Education, Community Psychology, Procurement & Chain Supply Management, Procurement & Logistics Management, Human Resource Management, Industrial & Organization Psychology, Project Planning and Management, Entrepreneurship and Project Planning, Public Administration and Management, Sales and Marketing Management, B. Agriculture & Rural Innovations, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Extension, Engineering or in any other relevant / related field +
• 2 Principal passes at A’ Level
• Credit and/or Pass in English and Mathematics at O’ level
• Person Specifications for job positions
• Should be willing to work in any part of the country where Pride operates.
• Should be ready to challenge themselves to continuously deliver exceptional performance.
• Should be computer literate, highly motivated, innovative and a self-starter.
• Should have excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Should possess leadership skills.
• Should be honest, trustworthy and have a high degree of integrity.
• Should be fluent in commonly used local languages in the respective regions.
• Should not be more than 40 years of age
NB: Candidates must be able and willing to ride a motorcycle
