The Government of Uganda received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of Investing in Forests and Protected Areas for Climate Smart Development Projects, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply of assorted electrical materials and poles for electric fence: "For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank's Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.

The Uganda Wildlife Authority now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply of assorted electrical materials and poles for electric fence. The delivery period is within 5 to 6 months.

Bidding will be conducted through Open National procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers" July 2016 updated August 2018 updated November 2020 and September 2023 ("Procurement Regulations"), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Uganda wildlife Authority, Office number UG 05 Procurement Unit, Procurement Manager, Mack Opowo, e-mail: mack.opowo@wildlife.go.ug and inspect the bidding document during office hours form 08:30am to 04:30pm Monday to Friday at the address given below.

The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of UGX 100,000/= (One hundred thousand only). The method of payment will be Cash, in UWA cash office. The document will be issued to the bidders upon presentation of the cash payment receipt to the address in paragraph 4 above.

A pre-bid meeting and site visit shall be scheduled on 15th April, 2024 at 10:00am in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Headquarters. The site visit is a must attend for all interested bidders.

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 03 May, 2024 at 11:00am. Electronic Bidding shall not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders' designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below, at UWA Library at 11:30am on 03 May, 2024.

For the assorted poles, all Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security worth UGX 13,000,000/= (Thirteen million shittings only).
For assorted electrical materials, all Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security as below:
Lot 1: UGX 7,000,000/= (Seven million shillings only).
Lot 2: UGX 3,000,000/= (Three million shillings only).
