About the Role
Tulima Solar is seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated Sales Officers to join our team and contribute to the implementation of our sales programs in West Nile, Uganda. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about renewable energy and community development, with the ability to communicate effectively and meet ambitious sales goals. As a Sales Officer, you will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of solar energy solutions, improving lives, and fostering sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement Tulima Solar’s sales programs within the West Nile region.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities in target areas to expand the company's customer base.
• Represent the company at local events, exhibitions, and community outreach initiatives.
• Provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and submit reports on sales activities, challenges, and achievements.
Language Requirements
• Fluency in one or more of the following languages: Madi, Alur, Lugbara, and/or Kiswahili is essential for effective communication with the local communities.
Qualifications
To qualify for the role of Sales Officer, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a field-based sales role.
• Education: A Diploma or Degree in one of the following areas:
o Sales and Marketing
o Business Management
o Agricultural Studies
o Experience in working on agricultural projects is considered an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Target-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales goals.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region to meet clients and close deals.
