Job Title: Security Manager
Reports to: Head of Human Resources
Job Summary:
The Security Manager will be responsible for the overall security operations and systems of the company including management of outsourced security firm, CCTV Surveillance & supporting security investigations. The role holder will also be responsible for ensuring safety and security of company assets, premises, and staff, including permitting entry & exit of items and individuals in/out of company premises.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategic interventions for security operations with the aim of improving the company security
• Assess security risks and establish flexible security solutions, policies, initiatives, or standards to prevent any dangers
• Coordinate the third-party security guards in accordance with the agreed service contract terms
• Regularly sensitize staff about imminent security threats/fraudulent activities and guide them on the appropriate counter measures
• Strengthen security awareness and skills of staff
• keep a non-compromised record of people, items, and goods movement in and out of the company
• Conduct periodic performance reviews on the security firm responsible for guarding company premises
• Serve as the focal point for all security incidents/response execution and planning
• Investigate theft or fraud cases that will occur at company premises
• Make periodic reports to management on security matters
• Any other task as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
• A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in any field from a recognised institution with any relevant security training
• At least five years of relevant experience in a busy reputable organization
• Being an ex-police officer is an added advantage
• Experience in developing and implementing security risk management standards
• A good understanding and implementation of emergency preparedness plans including evacuation from buildings
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Flexible to respond to a range of different work situations
• Excellent verbal/written communication and customer care skills
• Ability to follow lawful orders and authority
• High degree of integrity and honesty
• Good understanding of key security procedure

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
