Post: Senior Data Manager/ Biostatitician
Description and purpose:
The successful candidate has overall responsibility for providing technical leadership and knowledge management in the development, implementafion and management of clinical data management systems and procedures that support the production of high-quality data for all MU-JHU research studies. This includes ensuring that there are clear policy frameworks, standardized operating procedures that are compliant with relevant regulatory authorities. sponsor requirements and industry best practices such as Good Clinical Data Management Practices) and providing study specific oversight. The incumbent will also lead biostalistical analysis for assigned studies and provide capacity building in this area for other stall In the 1 year s/he will also have substantive responsibility to lead the EDCTP PREPARE teamwork 2 in supporting the integration of strong e-health data management systems in support of clinical, surveillance and research objectives at a very high-volume clinical facility..

The holder of this position will work in close collaboration with the Soudy program Manager with support from the QM Division Director and will he responsible for the following duties:
• Develop, implement and maintain regulatory compliant departmental Standard Operating Procedures and Wort Practice Guidelines
• Training and evaluation oi the data management team members
• Provide mentorship and leadership to data management team members
• Establish and maintain accurate quality metrics for continuous monitoring of studies
• Provide oversight (or. where necessary, be responsible for the development. implementation and maintenance of study specific documentation such as Data Management. Data Validation and Quality Management Plans. Case Report Forms and related Completion Guidelines
• Provide oversight (or, where necessary, be responsible] for the development and testing of electronic data capture systems, data validation, quality management and handling of laboratory data.
• Contribute to the design and execution of the EDCTP funded PREPARE work streams with other researchers on the team
• Participate in scientific writing and assist the PI, protocol team, and staff in interpreting research results to different stakeholders
• Remain up to date with technical developments in the field and provide knowledge leadership to MUJHU in this field.
