Post: Senior Epidemiologist – 2 Posts
Reference: HRM 72/173/01 KCCA
Salary Scale: U3
Reports to: Deputy Hospital Director

Qualifications: MBChB or its equivalent from a recognised university/institution.

Experience At least three (3) years of working experience in epidemiology or surveillance
or public health.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design guidelines and protocols for surveillance and epidemiological studies.
• Participate in training and providing tools to health workers involved in data collection.
• Supervise implementation of surveillance activities.
• Produce reports and disseminate them.
• Supervise implementation of epidemiological research.
• Carry out operational research.
• Supervise and appraise staff.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

• Evidence of training in specialized areas where applicable.
• Letters of appointment, confirmation and promotion where applicable.
• Registration certificates and valid practicing licenses for health workers who are required by law to register with relevant Professional Councils.
• National and current Institutional Identity Cards.
• Priority should be given to uploading only the relevant documents in the job specifications. Shortlisted applicants will have the opportunity to present additional relevant qualifications.

4. It is emphasized that:

• The application should be completed and submitted ONLINE.
