JOB DETAILS:
Purpose Of The Job:
To support the development, management, and monitoring of undergraduate programs. As a member of the academic team, the post holder will take part in operational, administrative, curriculum development, quality management, and enhancement of programs as required by relevant professional bodies.

Key Duties:
1. Ensure that students are provided with high quality, relevant and stimulating range of learning opportunities and experience.
2. Undertake and contribute to research.
3. Undertake Publication in the areas of specialization.
4. Be responsible for setting standards and monitoring progress against agreed criteria for area of responsibility.
5. Mentoring and training of Lecturers and assistant Lecturers in the department.

Person Specifications
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
1. Should have a Master’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery from a recognized institution
2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery.
3. Should be registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council with an up-to-date practicing License.
4. Should have a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience, at a recognized
5. Academic institution of which three (3) should be at a lecturer level.
6. Proven publications in the field of specialization.
7. Should have supervised three (03) graduate student to completion.
8. Being a registered professional is an added advantage.
9. Should have a good track record of service to the public.
10. Should have proven academic ability in research publication and teaching
11. Demonstrated computer literacy skills.
