Our client, a leading Commercial Bank operating in Uganda seeks to recruit competent banking professionals in managerial positions.
Job Title Senior Manager- Risk Management
Reports to Head of Risk Management
Main Purpose of the Job:
Support the Head of Risk Management to enhanceand integrate the function for Bank-wide RiskManagement, to build capacity and the abilityto identify, measure, monitor and control theunderlying risks - mainly Strategic, Credit, Liquidity,Interest Rate, Price, Foreign Exchange Rate,Operational, Reputational and Regulatory that the Bank may be exposed to. .

Key Responsibilities:
• Establish comprehensive Risk Management Programs and to embed sound risk management programme by putting in place an effective Country Risk Management framework.
• Monitoring of credit risk so as to ascertain the overall health of each asset and overall portfolio and confirm that exposures are in line with the bank's policy guidelines so as to ensure the quality of the credit portfolio.
• Identify Market risk factors (equity, interest rate, currency, and commodity) and develop approaches of strategies to address them.
• Monitoring of the ALM risks and review of the Liquidity Ratio, Rate sensitivity gaps, currency
wise gap analysis, net margins, Value at Risk (VaR), trading activities and impact analysis in a worst-case scenario to test the Bank's resilience..

Key Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree (Honors) in Business plus professional qualification in Risk Management or similar field would be desirable.
• A minimum of 8 years banking experience, with at least 3 years at a managerial level.
• Good at managing large volumes of information and can add value through management reporting.
