JOB DETAILS:
JOB SUMMARY
To contribute to the planning, coordinating, and monitoring of land and social affairs in the oil and gas sector for harmonious coexistence between communities and oil and gas activities in the operation areas. He/She reports to the Senior Social Affairs Officer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Undertake monitoring of land acquisition activities.
• Assist and contribute to grievances resolution and ensure good relationships with host communities and relevant stakeholders.
• Take part in the sensitization and consultation meetings with host communities and other relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of policies, plans and programs and ensure social issues are addressed.
• Contribute to the development of IEC materials and mobilize host communities to participate in oil and gas activities.
• Aid in the planning, budgeting and reporting for the Directorate.
• Assess social compliance of oil and gas activities.
• Participate in review of environment and social assessment reports.
• Undertake any other assignments as may be directed from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Basic Qualifications
• An Honor’s Bachelor’s Degree in social work, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related disciplines from an internationally recognized institution.
Experience
• A minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience
Skills and Competencies
• Analytical skills.
• Innovative.
• High level of integrity.
• Communication and report writing skills.
• Interpersonal skills.

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
