JOB DETAILS:
Overall Job Purpose
The Audit Supervisor will supervise and lead engagement teams to provide external audits and other assurance-related services to a wide range of BDO clients in Uganda and the region. In addition, to provide independent objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the organization’s operations, achieved by using a systematic approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal control, and governance processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Planning of audit –timing, staffing, and structure. Liaising closely with clients about planning and closing meetings and discussing business developments generally.
• Performs a detailed review of all audit work papers.
• Researching and resolving technical queries from clients.
• Reviewing and finalizing financial statements.
• Assisting in managing a group of seniors and trainees.
• Monitoring the development of more junior employees and playing an active role in the performance appraisal process.
• Participating in the delivery of training courses to staff Assisting managers as part of the team to service the clients.
• Ensure client files have all relevant documentation in the appropriate section.
• Carry out ad-hoc requirements as may be reasonably required by the line manager.
• Active adherence to budget and time pressures, bringing matters to the attention of the line manager.
• To perform other related assignments and tasks as assigned from time to time.
