JOB DETAILS:
Watoto Church Ministries and Community Care has experienced exponential growth in the past couple of years composed of multiple Celebration Centres (Campuses) and diverse Community care initiatives that include Child Care, Community and Neighbourhood, Education and FM Radio amongst others. In all of this, Watoto remains a local church, committed to celebrating Christ and caring for community.
Watoto is seeking to recruit a Supervisor to provide support, leadership and overall supervision to the day to day running of Baby Watoto, ensuring each child's needs are met.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To ensure nannies are properly oriented, trained and performance standards are well explained.
• To demonstrate good leadership and promote good stewardship of resources available. To manage routine staffing duties, observe food hygiene skills, nannie's registry and facility sanitation standards and address raised issues in a timely manner.
• To manage emergencies that may arise in the home and ensure correct procedures are followed.
• To provide regular developmental trainings for all staff to promote excellent standards of baby care across the facility. Train nannies to follow this up in their units.
• To monitor staff and ensure they are doing correct activities at the right time.
• To ensure that adequate supplies are readily available, daily for use with the babies.
• To collaborate with social workers when babies are admitted to the facility and ensure correct documentation within 24 hours of intake.
• To ensure compliance to the established safety, administrative and security standard operating procedures and conduct periodic trainings.
• To ensure that all the equipment in the facility is maintained at a highest standards and report. any maintenance faults on a timely basis as per established procedures.
• To support the administrative team in general duties such stock record keeping, petty cash accountability reports preparation, budgeting.
• To support and alert the head supervisor of any potential problems.
• To participate in the department orientations, inductions of new staff, volunteers, teams and guests and trainings work plans.
• Timely preparation and submission of periodic reports.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE.
• The applicant for the role of Supervisor should hold a Bachelor's degree in social sciences, Early Childhood Development, Education, and any other related courses.
• A certificate in Child Protection from a recognized institution is of added advantage.
• At least a minimum of two years' working experience in a childcare organization.
• Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children.
• Must be passionate about children and able to pay attention to detail.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and report writing skills.
• Good computer skills such as: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Should be a collaborator, result oriented, initiative-taking, and able to work under minimum supervision.
