BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN INTERNATIONAL BIDDING
SUPPLY OF POLYMERS FOR NTWAMA, MBARARA, AND PORTPORTAL WATER TREATMENT IN NWSC AREAS UNDER A FRAMEWORK CONTRACT FOR A PERIOD OF 18 MONTHS

Procurement Reference Number: NWSC-HQ/SUPLS/23-24/181913

1. National Water & Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has allocated funds from its annual budget for the financial year 2024/2025 to be used for the acquisition of Polymers for Water Treatment, under a framework contract for a period of 18 months under the following three (03) Lots:

   • Lot 1: Polymers for Ntwama Water Works
   • Lot 2: Polymers for Mbarara Water Works
   • Lot 3: Polymers for Fort Portal Water Works

2. NWSC therefore invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of Polymers for Water Treatment under framework contract for a period of 18 months.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open International Bidding procedures contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, Cap 205 and PPDA Regulations, 2023 and is open to all eligible bidders.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 8(b) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on working days.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address at 8(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 200,000 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency. Payment should be made to the NWSC bank account, and evidence of payment should be collected by the prospective bidder or its representative.

6. There shall be a pre-bid meeting at 8(a) on January 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM; bidders are expected to raise any queries resulting from the bid documents.

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8 (c) at or before 10:00 AM East African Time on March 7, 2025. The bid security amounts are indicated below for each lot:

   • Lot 1: Polymers for Ntwama Water Works – UGX 750,000
   • Lot 2: Polymers for Mbarara Water Works – 3,000,000 UGX
   • Lot 3: Polymers for Fort Portal Water Works – UGX 750,000

8. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 8(d) at 11:00 AM East African Time on March 7, 2025. Late bids shall be rejected.
