Swimming Pool Distribution sales representative - Uganda
The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of Water and Energy solutions in the region. The group operates through a network of branches various cities in Ugandan namely Kampala, Mbarara, Jinja, and Gulu. The company has a total complement of over 60 highly trained and professional staff spread across the country. We are looking for a qualified and talented young sales and marketing professional to the following position Swimming Pool Distribution sales representative

The successful candidate will be required to handle the following responsibilities:
• Sales and Marketing of pool chemicals and equipment.
• Servicing of swimming pools under the service contract.
• Testing water quality and treatment where necessary to acceptable standards.
• Generation of pool chemical movement reports and monitoring usage.
• Carrying out chemical inventory check, water quality testing, and giving necessary pool care advice/training to Client/Client’s Pool Attendants.
• Delivery of chemicals and giving advice on their specific use and application.
• Inspection of the overall operation of the filters, pressure gauges, check-ups on filter backwash frequency, and give advance notice to the client/client’s Pool attendant on the right schedules for backwash and media re-charge based on the observable signs of malfunction.
• Grow the wholesale sector of the pool chemical business through recruitment of Pool chemical stockists and regular institutional and domestic consumers
• Debtor management of all Pool Chemicals Stockists business.
• Execute the DAYLIFF branding strategy within the pool chemicals sector.
• Carry out regular/quarterly Pool attendants’ trainings at various pool sites.
The successful candidates will most likely meet the following requirements:
• A diploma/degree in Sales and Marketing from a recognized institution, with a minimum of Upper Second-class Honours degree or equivalent diploma classification.
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in FMCG sales and marketing. Prior knowledge of swimming pool service, maintenance and of pool chemical usage will be an added advantage.
• A committed, disciplined, ambitious and energetic individual with drive to succeed in a hard-selling environment.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite and fluent in English language.
• Willing to travel 80% of the month.
• Ability to swim is an added advantage.
• A valid Driver’s License is required. Proficiency in motorcycle riding will be an added advantage.
