JOB DETAILS:
The Law Development Centre (LDC) invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacant positions in its Staff Establishment, tenable at any of its campuses:
JOB TITLE: Systems Administrator/ICT Officer SALARY SCALE LS6
REPORTS TO: SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR/ICT OFFICER
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
• To participate in the development and implementation of strategies, systems and procedures for managing Information Systems at LDC.
• To participate in the provision of ICT initiatives, implementation of ICT development, networking and security standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To participation in the development and implementation of LDC ICT policy.
• To assist in the configuration and maintenance of software and hardware in good working order.
• To provide advice on the acquisition of appropriate hardware and software and check and carry out tests on new ICT equipment from suppliers.
• To provide support in the maintenance and update of the LDC website.
• To provide support in the creation, storage and maintenance of Electronic records.
• To update and submit reports on the performance of LDC’s computer hardware and other communications equipment.
• To support the implementation of LDC Paperless Communication Policy.
• Prepare and submit periodic performance reports to the Senior ICT Officer/Systems Administrator.
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior ICT Officer/Systems Administrator from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• A Bachelor’s (Hon) degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in Information Science, Computer Science is an added advantage.
• Must be a qualified Network Administrator/Information Technologist.
• At least two (2) years’ experience in Network Administration, Web Administration in government or reputable private organization.
