JOB DETAILS:
Communication for Development Foundation Uganda (CDFU) is a non-governmental organization that provides Development Communication services aimed at influencing positive behaviors for the social development of men, women, youth and children. CDFU is an Implementing Partner on the USAID Regional Health integration to Enhance Services in East Central Uganda Activity (USAID RHITES-EC). This five year activity targets 12 districts in East-Central Uganda. COFU wishes to recruit qualified Ugandans to fill in the following post:
A). Position: Technical Advisor SBCC
Reports to: Executive Director -CDFU
Commitment: Full time: Location/Duty station: Jinja .

Job Summary:
Work at strategic level to provide Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) support to program activities including developing and monitoring of work plans and budgets, ensuring integration of activities to achieve results, checking accountabilities: documentation of best practices; reporting (monthly, quarterly and annually): supervision of SBCC team including Project Officers and providing technical assistance to district based partners, and capacity building in SBCC.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of a Master's Degree in Communication, Health, Social Sciences, Population Studies or related field.
• The candidate must have at least 5 years' experience in implementing Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) interventions.
• Demonstrate knowledgeable practice of working with districts, nongovernmental and community-based organizations as well as government departments. Knowledge and experience in implementation of HIV/AIDS, nutrition, malaria and child development interventions.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills and ability to work as a team player. Good presentation and writing skills with computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Having worked in Eastern Region is an added advantage.
