The Finance and Administration Officer is responsible for managing financial functions including budgeting, financial reporting, and financial management of sub awardees. Certified public accountancy or the equivalent professional qualifications are a plus, with a Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience as a financial officer, preferably in a multi-office environment, is required. Demonstrated experience with USAID financial reporting and management, as well as managing sub awards and grants to local NGOs, is preferred. S/he must have experience in financial systems implementation and coordinating financial field office operations in developing countries. Proficiency in the use of accounting software programs such as Quick Books, SAGE, and Excel are a must along with proficiency in creating and using spreadsheets, general ledger accounting packages, database and word processing software. Ability to work longer hours during peak times such as the year-end close and preparation for audit is required.
