JOB DETAILS:
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ticketing Officer to join our team in Wandegeya, Kampala. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in ticketing operations, demonstrate trustworthiness, transparency, and possess excellent communication and customer service skills. The Ticketing Officer will be responsible for efficiently handling ticketing processes, ensuring transparency in all transactions, and providing exceptional service to our customers. This is a full-time position requiring work from Monday to Saturday, with working hours from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. Meals will be provided, and a fixed monthly salary, in addition to commission per client, will be offered.

Responsibilities:
• Ticketing Operations: Execute ticketing procedures accurately and efficiently, including issuing, canceling, rescheduling, and exchanging tickets as per customer requests.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent service to customers, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and offering appropriate solutions in a professional and friendly manner.
• Ticket Sales: Assist customers in purchasing tickets, explaining available options, fares, and any relevant terms and conditions.
• Fare Calculation: Calculate fares accurately using designated systems and processes, ensuring transparency in pricing and providing customers with clear breakdowns of ticket costs.
• Timely Updates: Stay updated with the latest information on flight schedules, availability, fares, and promotions to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of ticket transactions, refunds, exchanges, and other relevant information in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Payment Processing: Accept various forms of payment, such as cash, credit cards, and electronic transfers, ensuring secure and reliable payment processing.
• Compliance: Adhere to all applicable regulations, laws, and industry standards related to ticketing operations, ensuring compliance at all times.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to address customer needs and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
• Reporting: Generate regular reports on ticketing activities, sales, and customer feedback, providing insights and recommendations for process improvement.

Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Ticketing Officer or in a similar role, with a proven track record of handling ticketing operations.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ticketing systems, fare structures, airline policies, and industry practices. Familiarity with GDS (Global Distribution System) is a plus.
• Trustworthiness: Demonstrated integrity, trustworthiness, and the ability to handle sensitive customer information confidentially.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle inquiries, complaints, and difficult situations professionally and efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in ticketing procedures, fare calculations, and documentation.
• Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using ticketing software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant computer applications.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically, analyze situations, and provide appropriate solutions.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends and occasional overtime, to meet customer demands.
